Privacy Policy

Effective October 27, 2026

The short version: Foldz doesn't collect, store, or share any information about you. Your fold history stays on your iPhone. Foldz has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and it never connects to a server.

What Foldz records

Foldz logs when your iPhone Duo is folded and unfolded. Two Shortcuts automations that you set up run Foldz's Log Fold and Log Unfold actions, and each one saves a single entry: the time, whether the phone was folded or unfolded, and whether the entry came from Shortcuts or was added by hand.

That's all it records. Foldz doesn't know where you are, what you're doing on your phone, or which apps you use.

What stays on your iPhone

Your fold history, in storage shared only between the Foldz app and its widgets on your device.
Whether setup is finished, and whether you're in the free trial or have unlocked Foldz, so the app and its widgets show the right thing.

None of it is sent anywhere. Deleting Foldz deletes it, and Settings → Delete All Data in the app erases your history at any time. Export CSV creates a file only when you ask, and you choose where it goes.

Purchases

The free 3-day trial and the one-time unlock are in-app purchases processed by Apple through the App Store. Foldz only learns whether (and when) you started the trial and whether you bought the unlock; it never receives your name, Apple Account, or payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Shortcuts

The setup's one-tap automations are shortcuts shared through iCloud. Adding one copies it into your Shortcuts library; Foldz learns nothing about you when you do. The automations run on your iPhone.

Third parties

Foldz contains no third-party code for analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking, and it shares no data with anyone.

Children

Foldz collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

This website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages and uses no cookies or analytics of its own. GitHub may log basic technical information, such as IP addresses, when you visit; see GitHub's Privacy Statement.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If Foldz ever started collecting data, this page would say so before that version of the app was released.
